Welcome to my home on the internet

HELLO, I am Gladys and I have been interested and involved in genealogy for quite a few years now and I have been gradually discovering the details behind my own family tree and the one I married into. Because genealogy is both a solitary and a sharing experience, I thought I would share both my interest and family with the rest of the world and hopefully add a missing link or a few helpful links for any fellow searchers.

I have spent a lot of time searching through the local churches and registry offices and can now trace my family back five generations. That is quite an achievement when you consider the amount of birth, marriage and death certificates I have had to wade through. We Hendersons have managed to spread throughout the world from here in the North-East of England. As far away as Australia with some of us stopping along the way around the world, mainly in America thanks to the Californian gold rush..
